Is Lamalaya good for kids? Age and difficulty
Llamas climb a three-dimensional mountain of symbol tiles. You roll two dice and jump a llama over two tiles that match them, or two llamas over one tile each, climbing toward the flag. Llamas score by how high they get when the first one reaches the top row. The advanced mode adds flowers that give one-time powers.
What age is Lamalaya for?
Box says 5+
We suggest 5+ with an adult helping, 6+ on their own.
In classic mode a turn is roll two dice and jump a llama over two tiles that match them, or two llamas over one each, with symbols and no reading. You have to look ahead for tiles that suit both dice and avoid giving opponents a path. A 5 year old can play with an adult finding the jumps, and a 6 year old can play the classic mode alone. The flowers in advanced mode add powers.
