Is Animal Upon Animal good for kids? Age and difficulty
You roll a die and stack wooden animals on a wobbly pyramid built on a crocodile. Some rolls make you stack two, some let you widen the base, and some let the other players choose which animal you must stack. If the pyramid falls you take animals back. The first to stack all seven of theirs wins.
What age is Animal Upon Animal for?
Box says 4+
We suggest 4+ with an adult helping, 5+ on their own.
A turn is roll the die and stack one or two animals with one hand. There are five die symbols to learn and no reading. The hard part is steady hands, which a 4 year old can manage with an adult explaining the die and the collapse penalties. A 5 year old can play alone. The hand and question mark faces let others choose the animal you must stack.
