Is Happy Bunny good for kids? Age and difficulty

A bunny hops along a garden path while you roll a die, pull carrots from the garden and sort the bitten ones for the bunny from the unbitten ones for the farmer. If the bunny ends up with the longer line of carrots, everyone wins together. There is also a version where each player collects for themselves.

What age is Happy Bunny for?

Box says 3+

We suggest 3+ with an adult helping, 4+ on their own.

A turn is roll the die, hop the bunny to the next space of that color and pull the number of carrots shown, then sort bitten from unbitten. There is no reading and no real choice. A 3 year old can play with an adult helping count the carrots, and a 4 year old can play alone. Comparing two lines of carrots at the end is the only step that needs a grown-up's eye.

  • Easy to learn
  • 1 to 4 players
  • 15 minutes
  • About 3 minutes to set up (our estimate)
  • Co-operative: everyone wins or loses together

No direct conflict between players. Content: A bunny picks carrots from a farmer's field. The farmer is only a pile to beat; nothing scary.
